If you want to keep up with the Wilson's then you better start following me on Facebook. I don't seem to have the time to sit down at the computer anymore. Thank goodness for my blackberry! (Rebecca and her blue shoes! )

I think its safe to say that we have been extremely busy with Soccer, Volleyball and Football. Wish I could have cloned myself last Saturday!! I needed to be in AR for soccer, Kansas for volleyball and MO for Football!

#4 is getting old

This morning I was rushing around making beds, cleaning up breakfast, ironing a shirt for Rebecca for Picture Day and urging #4 to WAKE UP!!

Today was Kindergarten Evaluation, where they make you skip and hop, say your numbers, write some letters and say your ABC's. Abigale came running out, after her hour of going from station to station, with a big smile on her face. Very Loudly...."I remembered to say L,M,N,O,P very slow mom!!!"

I was cracking up. We had talked on our ride to school that if she had to say her ABC's she needed to slow down a bit or they would not understand her and she might get some wrong. Well no problem there, #4 is ready for Kindergarten!!

(Waiting in line for her turn at Kindergarten Evaluations)

It's All Fun Until Someone Gets Hurt

This weekend was going to be action packed with soccer, football watching, soccer, a birthday party, soccer...Did I mention soccer?

We had a big rain storm on Saturday so three soccer games were cancelled. We were supposed to head to some friends to watch football but they were under the weather. So we watched from home, Alabama win (it was not a pretty win but we will take it) and Auburn lose (bummer).

Sunday we had two soccer games in Arkansas for Rebecca and they asked if Katherine would be a guest player since they were short a couple of girls. It worked out that they were playing in a U14 league and Rebecca's team was playing up an age group so both girls were on the same team.

(Katherine)

(Rebecca)

It was a very intense game with the Pink Panthers aged 10-12 with my oldest guest playing at age 13 playing a team with girls aged 12- 14. They were elbowing, hip checking and tripping. Did I mention the tripping?

Katherine fell right onto her wrist and immediately was holding onto it. We iced it and Busy Dad took her to the Doc in the Box back in MO. They were unsure if a bone might be broken so we are headed to the Ortho today after school. She has a wrap on it and a note for no PE for 2 weeks. Not sure how Computer Keyboarding class and Band will go.

Busy Dad was able to get from AR to MO to the Doctor with three kids in tow and get Abigale to her birthday party on time! Go Busy Dad!!

Mom of the Year

Katherine is home sick today. Took her to the dr. She has bronchitis and upper resp infection. So she is on Antibiotics and inhaler 4x a day. So she will have to take it to school and take at lunch time.

Abigale wanted them to check her ears since she was a good girl during K's apt. So the Nurse pract and the helper looked in her ears. They asked her did her ears hurt and she said yes!! That was the first I had heard that her ear hurt....guess what. She had a double ear infection. She has puss pockets on her ears and her throat!!

So yes....I am Mom of the Year!!!!!!!!

First Day of School

Twas the night before school started,
When all through the town,
The parents were cheering.
It was a riotous sound!
By eight, kids were washed
And tucked into bed...

When memories of homework...
filled them with dread!
New pencils, new folders,
new notebooks, too!

New teachers, new friends...
their anxiety grew!

The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright
And shouted upstairs-...GO TO BED-IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!

The kids started school this morning and were so excited. I now have a 7th grader, 4th grader , 2nd grader and one in 4-K. Wow!!
Abigale wanted to be in the picture
with her brother and sisters.
She still had her PJ's on.
The kids wanted to take something to their teachers on the first day so I put a water bottle, a lemonade packed to pour in the water, an apple and some lifesaver mints in a clear bag and tied it with a bow. My 7th grader passed on that since she is too old to take things to her teacher :-)

I thought I would post a picture so you could see the "Teacher Happy".
Hope all you moms have a great school year!!

Sick Kids!!

I have been off the radar for a few days. Out of 4 children 3 have been sick. K is home from school...day # 3. Abigale's fever finally broke and she is now coughing and blowing her nose every 5 minutes. Hayden was sick for 3 days and is at school now. Rebecca is the only one feeling fine. Her birthday party is this Sunday at the Flip Shop and we are hoping she stays well so we don't have to cancel it! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Rebecca!!

Our sweet Rebecca turns 9 today! How time flies when your raising four children!! It seems like yesterday that I was heading to St. Vincents in Birmingham, AL to have her. It was a cold weekend and I was coming down with the flu. She was a 9 lb baby! When we left the hospital I think the wind was almost at hurricane strength. We were on the parking deck in the wheel chair waiting for Walt to drive around in the car. The nurse was helping us load the car with the flowers and balloons and the wind was whipping the balloons everywhere. My hair was almost wrapped around my head and I could not see to get in the car. Rebecca was so bundled up all you could see where her tiny little eyes and nose.

Rebecca has turned into such a young lady. She has such an old soul about her. She is in the gifted program at school and loves to read. Her favorite shows are on the Food Network and if you ask her she is going to culinary school and she wants to be a chef and make beautiful cakes. She loves to watch Duff make all his wild cakes.

Rebecca has her own style and loves to put T-shirts and skirts together with her brown converse sneakers. I love how she is so original and does not care what people think. She recently went with her dad to one of his weekly meetings. The auditorium was packed and the overflow was in the cafeteria watching on close circuit TV. The CEO was talking and he saw Rebecca on the front row. He came over to her and she stood and he talked to her and asked her all kinds of questions. Someone handed her a microphone and she talked for awhile with him. Walt could not believe how mature she was and how easily she talked to the CEO( Of one of the largest companies in the world). Later she told her Dad that he (CEO) was just like any other person she would talk to. We hope that she always keeps this outlook on life.

So Becca Boo Happy Birthday!! We love you and are so glad that you are in our family!!

Overheard at my house

Today was going to be a busy day of driving 1 1/2 hours for a Eye Dr. appointment and then hurrying home to pick up Katherine (11) at school from her Community Problem Solvers club. Hayden wears glasses and since we have moved to Missouri we now have to drive 1 1/2 hours every 3 months to go to a specialist. Today was the appointment and I had him dressed (he was so handsome) and ready to go to school. He was going to school and I was going to check him out later to head to the appointment. While eating breakfast the Dr.s secretary called to say that the Dr. had missed his flight from vacation and could we re-schedule for later in the month. So now my son is jumping up and down excited because he wants to change out of his clothes and put on his school clothes. I thought he looked so cute...blue cords, blue button down shirt and a sweater vest. He was quite the dapper dan!! I told him that his father had worn a similar outfit to work and that they both were so handsome. So without missing a beat...Hayden said " I hope they don't laugh at him at work". I had to turn around so he would not see me laughing!!
