Family Time

We have had a busy and fun summer so far. School starts in 21 days or so the kids just informed me. I took the kids to Vermont for two weeks by myself with Walt flying up for the long Fourth of July Weekend.

Everyone is done with their camps and now we can just sleep in and have lazy summer days. haha I think that is probably wishful thinking.

My BFF Jen drove up from Alabama this week with her two girls and while she was here we she took our family pictures. She is a talented photographer and my friends were quickly calling me setting up sittings while she was here. I got to be the lovely photographer assistant.

I think we had six sittings in 3 days. That doesn't include the quick trips to the pond with my kids throughout the day to snap some pictures or the photo studio she quickly set up in my basement to take individuals of the kids.

Can't believe they are already back in Alabama.

Here are a few of the pictures that she took. She took a real fun picture that I am saving for our Christmas card.

I Made it!!

We left Sunday morning at 6:30 am and drove 12 hours to Columbus Ohio. We got up Monday Morning at 6:30 am and drove to Cleveland, Ohio to visit cousin Jodi for an hour and then got back in the car and drove 10 hours to Vermont!!!

(I love taking the pictures of the kids sleeping)

I felt like Supermom when I pulled in the driveway in Brattleboro, VT. We have an action packed trip planned and have already been swimming in NH everyday and shopping on Main Street with MiMi and the Aunts.

(we play a mean game of Badmitten)

(Me, Mom & Dad and kids..using the self timer on my camera)

(PaPa (my Dad) with Abigale)

The town of Brattleboro is a picture of Americana. The Fourth of July parade will start at the HS and travel down through Main street. The street has tons of cute shops and is surrounded by the beautiful Green Mountain on one side and the Conneticut river on the other.

(All of us in front of a mural on Main St. in Brattleboro, VT. Me,

Aunt Laura, Mimi, the kids and Aunt Lynne)

The kids have their annual Fourth of July T-shirts ready to wear tomorrow and Abigale has her red and white bow for her hair.

(The kids with their great grandmother Kitty..G.G.Kitty is what they call her)

I hope all of you have a great Fourth of July.

Look Who Came to Visit

Wonder where I have been this week? We had some visitors from the South!! Jen came to visit with Jared, Anna and Lauren! I am not sure we could pack any more into their visit.

1) Visit Kansas and the site of the original "Tow Mater" (Pixar movie Cars) They used the town of Galena KS and Baxtor Springs KS to base the movie on.
The kids all got in the truck and we all had "pop" from the old fashion cooler and drank it in the diner!

2) Visit the McDonald's in Oklahoma that goes across the interstate! Pretty Cool!

3) It was VBS at our local church and four of the kids went every night!

4) Jen and I went to the movies and saw "Sex in the City" I laughed and I cried and I laughed some more!!

5) We drove the four older kids down the Arkansas and Busy Dad took them to the Taylor Swift and Lifehouse concert! They had a blast!!
6) We went to the local public pool here in town and the kids all spent most of their time trying to walk across the lily pads. 7) There was some shopping at the local Mall with all the girls and the boys stayed home and played on the Wii! 8) There were many Guitar Hero battles every night! 9) Lots of photo moments of all seven kids!!

Thanks for driving the 12 hours to Missouri Jen! We had a blast!!

****************Sticky Post*******************
***Scroll down for more recent posts!**************

I am so excited!! I am going on a Girls weekend in New York. No kids!! No husbands!! Just us girls!! I am meeting my friends Jennifer & Caroline (from Alabama) and Kim (North Carolina). We are all flying in and staying at Jennifer's Aunts apartment. My friend Jennifer is the organizer ( I mean my OCD friend...just kidding JC) in the bunch and she already has lots for us to do. We are going to see Hairspray the musical and have lunch at Tavern on the Green. We are slowly researching and finding new places to go and see. I know we want to head over to Chinatown, go to the World Trade Center memorial and maybe take the Ferry so we can see the Statue of Liberty up close. I know all you Bloggers/Lurkers have probably visited or maybe know of some neat things to do in New York. So if your reading this please post a comment of some other things we can do!! Thanks!! I will keep you updated on our plans!

Did I tell you that I am flying in a day earlier than J, C & K? My cousin Rebecca lives there and she is picking me up at the airport and I get to stay at her place and meet her fiance Sean!! Can't wait to meet the new member of the family!! Their wedding is in June so I will hopefully be flying back up to NY then!!
