About a year and a half ago I sent my Aunt Laura an email with a link to Pink Chalk Studio's blog. She had made the most amazing Advent Calendar. I guess you can say that was kind of a hint that I would like something like this. I can sew, but I can't sew that good. I come from a very crafty and talented family and I knew that Laura could make something of this magnitude. She did not let me down. Last week I got a FedEx box with my Wonderful Advent Calendar. She had made the ornaments and the angel for the top of the tree by hand. It had tons of fun fabric and was quilted all over. The kids have all taken turns putting an ornament on the tree. Abigale had a funny story about who gets to put the angel on the tree on the 25th. You can read about it at Busy Dad's blog.
(Laura, Me and cousin Brian this summer at Lake Winnisquam.)
Thanks Laura for the great Advent Calendar! We LOVE it!
I forgot to mention that the buttons on the tree were from several Grandmothers sewing boxes. Pretty neat!

This is fabulous Jennifer! I'm in love with the angel. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, xo Kathy
Hey Jen, I am so glad you got a close up of the angel and one of the ornaments. Poor Aunt Laura is without power today from the ice storm so she will not see your post right away. She did a wonderful job.
Love, Mom
It is precious! I know you treasure it!!
Very cute!
I am so completely jealous!!! I have the pre-fab Kirklands model ... festive, but not at all original or a sentimental keepsake!!! I love it ... your family is so talented ... (((more jealousy)))!!!
:) Ann
That Advent Calendar is amazing! I've always wanted to get one for the girls but could never find the perfect one.
