The Wild Weekend has come to a Close!!

Wonder where I have been?? I have been getting ready for this past weekend. I am not sure if we could have packed any thing else in.

Friday night we headed to church for First Communion Rehearsal and a dinner. My mom was flying in, so Busy Dad picked her up....Too bad the luggage did not make it. After filling out all of the paper work and them promising that it would be in later and that they would deliver it that night, they left and headed to the dinner already in progress at the church

(They all looked so cute in their suites and white dresses)

Saturday morning we had to get Katherine ready for her soccer tournament in Arkansas, Rebecca ready for the State Championship for DI (Destination Imagination) at the local collage, and Hayden ready for his First Communion. (This was taken right before Katherine and Rebecca left for their events and we headed to First Communion)

Thank goodness I have such wonderful friends that helped get my children to the events that we could not be at. The rest of us got ready for First Communion and headed to the church. The ceremony was beautiful and Hayden did great.

We headed home ate lunch and then went to Hayden's soccer game. Of course it was our turn to bring snacks so luckily I had put them in my car the night before or that prob would have slipped my mind. Busy Dad then headed to Arkansas to see one of Katherine's games and to bring her home. The rest of us came home and got ready for the next event.

We knew we were going to Arkansas Sunday morning for the rest of the soccer games so we would be missing church, so we decided to go to Saturday night Mass. Hayden was thrilled that he got to church twice in one day and receive communion.

After church we headed to the local University to see Rebecca at her awards ceremony for DI. They were hoping to get in the top three for their event so that they could go to Globals but unfortunately they just missed it.

I think she was glad that all of us came to the ceremony but was disappointed that they did not win the big trophy. We went to dinner to celebrate the day's events!

Sunday we headed to AR for the soccer game.

Katherine's Team played a fantastic second half and ended up tying the game at the last minute.

We took everyone to Red Robin for a late lunch and then home to Missouri. My mom left this morning and I think she will need a vacation to recover from this weekend.

Update on her luggage...when we got home from First Communion my Mom's bag was on our front porch.

Wow, I'm tired just reading about your busy weekend!

As busy as it was, it was a good kinda busy. Sounds like you all had a great time with your Mom and I'm sure she loved every minute of it!

Well, of course her luggage came on the day she left! Isn't that always the case!

Congratulations on his First Communion. Way to go Hayden. And, yes... they do all look so great in their white dresses and suits. Quite angelic. Although, the young girl sitting next to Hayden in the one pic looks a little "miffed." LOL

Last year at our community's church, there were over 400 children doing First Communion and it took 4 Sundays. Yours looks a lot more personal and close.

But, boy, oh boy... what a busy weekend. No wonder you were in absentia.

Rhonda - I noticed the little girl with her arms crossed too. Cracked me up. You know she is pissed about something important like her hair or shoes!
