Aloha Friday

Hello Everyone!!!

It has been a busy week here at the Wilson-six with lots of orders, Dr. Appointments and ice storms. The kids were out of school yesterday because of the ice but thank goodness were able to go back today.

I spent yesterday working on laundry, sewing and actually reading a book. Speaking of laundry......I discovered that my daughter had left a orange sharpie in her bed with the lid off!! She then tried to use Spray and Wash to get the stain out!! So it bleed all over the place! Fun times her at the Wilson house!!

So have you ever gotten a horrible stain on something you love? Or have your children done something and tried to hide it from you?

answer this in the comments!

For more Aloha Friday go to An Island Life.

Here are some things that have been mailed out this week.

Ummm...a $100 blouse. Luckily it is small and at the bottom, so I can hide it. :-)

Cool stuff you've got there. I checked out your Etsy store - very interesting. I'd love to learn more about Etsy. When you have a moment, would you leave a comment on my blog about it?

Yikes, I forgot to answer the question! My kids are pretty open about their staining. LOL. I used Resolve Spot Cleaner (the carpet stuff) to removed melted blue crayon off of khaki pants.

I remember a suspicious dent in the fender of the car once. It just appeared and absolutely no one knew how it got there.

Most recently, I got bleach on one of my favorite tops. Not expensive, just a beloved top. Now it is in my box of material...I'll make something else out of it.

I for some reason stain everything and my husband always freaks out when he sees them. My recent stains include a pen mark on the sofa that won't come out (I've flipped the cushion so he didn't find out yet). Separately a pen exploded on me one night and I put the offending pen on my desk (white) and it soaked into the wood. I've tried cleaning it but I scraped off the paint! I stink. Anyway, thanks for coming by the new blog!! It's good to be back!

Well my 18mo old, now 5, took a red sharpie and colored on the carpet, wall and baby gate at the top of the stairs. Somehow I was able to get it out with the mr clean magic eraser. Though the other day I was on the stairs and noticed some faded red marks on the carpet. It took me 3 1/2 years to realize I didn't quite get it all.

I remember when Girlie Girl was younger. She got hold of a marker and drew on the back of my silk Bebe blouse. ARGGGG!

My children insist on leaving crayons in their pockets. And apparently I am not too good at checking pockets!! It's the hot dryer that causes all the problems and once you've got melted crayon on an entire load...you might as well forget it!! I have no idea how to get it out, so I can't give any helpful hints on the removal!! I LOVE all the mailouts this week...so cute!!

I remember Susie's first American Bitty Baby on Christmas morning, she decided to take a black perm. marker and color the eyes on the doll.

Then she had a raccoon and NOTHING took it out.

However, Elijah once tried to make a big black circle with a fat tip black perm. Sharpie on my cream colored carpet. He wanted to play marbles. Fingernail polish remover took it out. I had to really work on it, but it did come out.
