I would have to say both. We have a fat cat named Windsor who loves attention. He has such a special bond with our youngest. He lays with her for her naps and at bedtime until she falls asleep.
Our sweet dog Alex passed away a year ago and we miss her like crazy. She was a golden retriever and was so good with the kids! She loved Windsor too! In fact, when we got Windsor, he thought Alex was his mom! They had such a great relationship!
