Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)

I totally dropped the ball last Monday!! I had great intentions of doing a great post on being Thankful and how we as human beings can show Kindness to our fellow man.....

But then I got a call inviting us to Alabama for Thanksgiving. That is a 12 + hour drive. I had orders to finish, hostess gifts to monogram, kids to pack for, car to load, cat to tend to and lots more that I can't even remember.

So I am having a Re-do on the RAK that I should have done last week. I want to draw a random comment and RAK post to win one of two Christmas notepads.
If you have a RAK to share with us please post it over on your blog and come back and sign the Mr. Linky. If you want to leave a comment here about some ideas of a RAK that would be great. We can all use some ideas for our family to help spread the Holiday Cheer of Kindness to our fellow friends & neighbors. I will leave comments open until next Monday when the new RAK will be posted.

I am grateful for people who extend themselves beyond family and friends.

I don't know if this is so much random, but in our city our church puts together a nativity exhibit for the community. With hundreds of different kinds of nativities and creches. This is all volunteers that put this together. There are a lot of people who help out but one great lady Kyra is in charge and She basically puts her life on hold for a few weeks just to get this organized and put together- the end result, a beautiful thing to go and see to start off the Christmas season with a way to remember the resason, Our Savior.

While traveling from Arizona to Texas for Thanksgiving, we stopped in Albuquerque to let the kids stretch their legs at a local park. We decided to use the opportunity to clean up some trash in the parking lot--it felt good to help a community that we don't live in! Thanks for encouraging us to be better people....
