We love to Boo! We make baskets every year and leave them on our friends and neighbors doorstep! This year I made pumpkin bread and caramel popcorn along with some other goodies to put in the bucket.
Here is the picture of the finished bucket. I am also including a paper with "we've been booed" and instructions on how to pass on the fun Booing.
Since I made homemade food I put "Happy Halloween from the Wilson's" That way people would know who the food came from.
I wanted something fun to put the caramel popcorn in so I decided on making it look like a creepy hand. I found clear gloves at a restaurant supply store. You know the kind that the lunch ladies use to put the food on your tray???? I put one piece of candy corn in each finger to make it look like a finger nail. I then added the caramel popcorn. The recipe for the caramel corn is from Kim at Reformed Grits. I got it from her last year when I made it. It tastes wonderful. The recipe is from Paula Deen and you can find it here.
* some helpful hints when making caramel popcorn: don't leave the caramel sauce unattended on the stove or it will scorch...then the popcorn will taste yucky. Not that this happened to me...
* After following the recipe instructions make sure you spread out the popcorn on the wax paper pretty evenly. You don't want big clumps of the stuff when you are trying to put it in the plastic hand.
Here are the step by step pictures of making the scary plastic hand.
I made stickers for the pumpkin bread, caramel corn and a label for the bucket. I think they turned out pretty cute. The other things I added were some candy, boxes of raisin's, animal cookies, some Halloween plastic cups, and fruit snacks.
I put black and orange construction paper through our shredder to put on the bottom of the bucket. Easy! You can go here to see what we did last year.
Are you going to Boo anyone this year?
Did you write a post about it? If so let me know I would love to come read it.

Your Boo Baskets are too cute! I personally haven't ever boo'd anyone, but I'm thinking something like this would be really fun for Thanksgiving.
You are sooo creative! I like the scary hands the best :)
Wow, I've never known anyone to make their own caramel popcorn before. It looks delicious!
BTW, thank you for the card! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness!
This is such an awesome idea and I love the popcorn hand.
What a wonderful gift for your friends! It is always so special to receive something that has taken this much thought!
Thanks for visiting my site and for your comment. I'll be back to visit you!
Those are just the cutest things! Love them!
What a great idea! :)
What a neat idea! If I can get my act together, we may just have to do it!
Very excellent Booing! Long live the spirit of Halloween!
The gloves are AWESOME! I make caramel popcorn, but I make mine gooey, which wouldn't work in the gloves. If I find some gloves I am totally doing your idea.
I'm gonna Boo someone this year. I love it!! You are so creative. You're like my online Martha Stewart pal.
Very tasty treats.
The hand thing is really cool.
As usual, the creativity factor is very high!
Nice work,

That looks awesome. I'm going to have to make a couple for the nurses at Josh's school, and our neighbor.
What fun! And caramel popcorn from Paula it's got to be really good!
Thanks for sharing.
I love those hands. I made those one year for the girls in my bunco..they liked them too.
