Random Acts of Kindness

I hope all of you have been out working on your RAK (Random Acts of Kindness). I am hoping that since I am hosting this just twice a month that we will have a better turnout. Thanks to Kailani the new Features Editor at 5 minutes for mom for mentioning this on her first installment of 5 minutes around the Blogoshere!

Things I/we as a family have done in the last couple of weeks.

*We have given money anonymously to several good causes

*Helped someone in a wheelchair reach items out of their reach

*moved a grocery cart out of the way so a car could pull into a parking spot

*picked up dropped money and gave it back to the person that dropped it (boy were they surprised)

*Gave a cold bottle of water to the WM greeter when leaving the store ( I told y'all that this would prob be on every RAK list I post, the kids love doing it :-)

I know these are small and prob insignificant, but I wanted all of you to know that just small things can make a person's day. So if your hesitant to participate because you don't have this grand RAK please don't be!!! Really, it can be something as easy as taking one of your children's drawings to an elderly neighbor.

So get out there and spread the word and come back here and let me know that you are participating. Sign the Mr. Linky so we can all come visit your blog.

Y'all have a great week!!

Our RAKs have been small ones as compared to what we've done in the past, but we've tried to be better about being happy to those around us. It's amazing how much a smile or a word of understanding or gentle encouragement can mean to others. Just being conscience of this helped me not get so caught up in my frustrations.

I did that too, pulled a cart out of the way so a car can park in the spot, and the funny thing is, it was after a cute little pregnant woman did that for me at babies r us. Coincidence!

I love that you do this! Stop by sometime-- I left you a little note on my blog! Have a happy!

I am so glad you are doing this... as you may have seen on the bottom of my blog... Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others... my kids this week took dinner next door to a sick neighbor, watched 2 little boys so the mom could have a break, and we all gathered socks for the homeless so their feet will be warm this coming winter. This is an ongoing quest to collect 1000 pairs. My kids love this stuff and hopefully will always have the RAK spirit in them.

I found a great outlet for anyone looking for an outlet for RAKs especially with small children. Check it out on the Mr. Linky.
