Favorite Movie Quote
I thought this was the funniest post last week when Dad Gone Mad had everyone post their favorite Movie quote. I thought I would see what you guys could come up with. Please follow these directions and leave your favorite movie quote. Movie quotes must be popular web postings because I came across Renovating This Heart and she had posted a quote from Under the Tuscan Sun. I forgot how much I liked that movie.
1. Go to the Internet Movie Database
2. In the SEARCH field (top left part of the page), type in the name of your favorite movie.
3. When you get to the movie's page, click the link in the left navigation bar that says "MEMORABLE QUOTES." (It's in the Plot & Quotes area)
4. Find your favorite line from your favorite movie and post it in the comments section of this post.
Mine is from the Big Chill
Michael: Did I miss Karen and Richard?
Sarah: Just Richard, Karen's staying for the weekend and he went back to be with the kids.
Michael: Ohhhhh, interesting. What did Richard have to say about this?
Sarah: Michael, if you're going to sleep this late, you're going to miss a few minidramas.
Michael: I just hope you'll wake me for anything really nasty

This is from LOTR: Return of the King. My DH has used a portion this a number of times to rally his U12 soccer boys for a big game or something. Heehee
Aragorn: Hold your ground, hold your ground. Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you *stand, Men of the West!*
Thanks for linking to my blog! YES, I love "Under the Tuscan Sun".... and had forgotten how much until I saw it on TV that night again. My favorite thing is that it's not your typical romantic comedy.... the man (the romance) doesn't make everything better... she develops herself as an individual before everything falls into place. What a great message for all of us waiting for a husband.
