30 Day Organizational Challenge

Wow time flies when your having fun...not!! ha ha. I finished my J Designs workroom, which was a disaster area by the way. How much ribbon does one person need?? I started by sorting all of my ribbon. I had two different categories. Ribbon that was on a spool and ribbon that was just loose. So I put the ribbon that was on spools in two baskets that I had. Now I can easily see all of them with just a glance. The loose ribbon fit in one Medium size tub that I put under the white curtain on my metal shelf. Speaking of the white curtain...I re-purposed this from a roman blind that my girls had in their room in Alabama. I cut it down to make a sort of cover for the lower part of the wire shelf. I cut it in two so I could easily reach in and grab what I need. Under the white curtain I have several different tubs all labeled and organized. These contain the following: Soap making kit, scrapbooking supplies, box of buttons, sewing machine supplies and a few misc.

One of the first things you see when you enter into my J Design Workroom is my huge bulletin board. I took everything off and sectioned off areas for Family and J Design. My children have given me notes and cards and I display them here. The J Design side has some of the samples of things I make and also Ribbon swatches. I also made a table cloth for my monogram machine area. This way it looks put together and not so messy. Under this table I have a tub with all my embroidery thread , hoops and backing supplies.

I had an old rolly cart with several drawers and I cleaned it all out and I now have my Paint supplies, Shipping supplies and Invoices. It fits right next to my wire shelf. I wrap all of my orders in tissue paper, a clear bag and then curly ribbon. My curly ribbon is always such a pain to work with when it is in a tub. It gets tangled and messy. So I re-purposed a shoe holder on the back of the closet door and it holds all of my curly ribbon and some of my toile gift bags. The tissue paper and plastic bags that I need to wrap are nice and organized in the closet too!!!

This was a fun project and I thank Organizational Junkie for putting this all together. If it were not for this challenge my workroom would still be a mess!!!
