Ribbon Outlet

***UPDATE***

The winner of the ribbon is AJ!! Email me your info so I can put it in the mail! I finally went to the ribbon outlet in Maryland. I had heard all about it from Kristi. She is always talking about it on her blog and is always giving away ribbon to bloggers. I was the lucky recipient of some great ribbon last year!!

Here is the stash that I picked up while I was there. Busy Dad dropped me off so I could peruse the aisles and the kids hung out in the car! I think I was in there for about 30 or 40 minutes. I am not really sure since when I entered I was kind of in ribbon Nirvana!!
I will send one lucky commenter some ribbon. Just leave a comment!

Internet Scrapbooking!

I just had to share a part of an email that I got this morning from my good friend Jamey in Texas.

"I love your blog. It is Internet scrap booking with music!!!

Have a great day...Jamey:)"

That cracked me up! I have long since decided that scrap booking is a lost cause......to me that is!!
I get so overwhelmed with all the paper, stickers and photo's! I have friends that have gorgeous scrapbooks and have saved all of their kids artwork, cards and Valentines!! Jamey ..I am talking about you!!

(Jamey and I at her birthday lunch last year before she moved)

( Heading to the Alabama Auburn game in Auburn, AL. We drove from Missouri and they flew from Texas)

Thanks for the email it made my day! I do feel like this blog is a virtual scrapbook of the Wilson-six! I think it will be great for my children to come back and read the archives and see that they did not have such a boring life!!

The Lake

We spent four days at "The Lake". My uncle Alan and Aunt Sue have two cottages and Sue's parents have a third cottage at the Lake. We were fortunate enough to be able to spend four wonderful days at one of their cottages. I think the correct term is "Camp". They call all the houses "Camp's" We were on Lake Winnisquam. Busy Dad flew in to Manchester NH and was able to join us for the weekend. There were paddle boats, Kayaks, pontoon boats, and ski boats.

There was a sand bar in the middle of the inlet and the kids would head out in one of the boats and play on the sandbar. Abigale wore her life jacket and decided that she would swim back with the big kids. I could not believe my 4 year old swam from the sandbar all the way to the beach at the Camps!

On Saturday all the family drove over to the 'Camps" and we had a sorta Family Reunion. It was great to see all of the the cousins.

Thanks Alan and Sue for such a great weekend. The kids are hoping we make this an annual tradition (Busy Dad and Alan)

Good Mail!!

Look what came in the mail this week. Jen Jen out did her self! We had a huge box waiting on our doorstep Monday!!! Very Cool Lunch boxes for all the kids filled with school supplies. I even got a gift bag with a french manicure set and some goodies. Too bad all of you don't have a Jen Jen in your life! I am so fortunate to have her in my life!!

We had not gone school shopping yet so this was such a wonderful surprise!! Thanks Jen!!(She made cute tags with each kid on them. Rebecca's had freckles!)

( Did you know that I LOVE Sharpies! I kind of have an
obsession for Sharpies)

Another Mirl (Met in Real Life)

This Internet/blog world is a wonderful place. I have met so many wonderful people through it. One of those people is Rhonda whose blog is Because Mom Said So. She knew that we were traveling up North this summer and graciously opened her home to our family of six as a stopping point on our way to Washington D.C.

It does not happen very often when a complete stranger opens their home up to a large family traveling through. She and I had talked via email and have left comments on each others blogs for some time. She and Busy Dad had even "met" via comments. I felt like I knew her family and she knew ours.

We were not disappointed. The hospitality was exceptional.( I told her I was going to post about all of her cereal!! My kids get one choice and that's it.....look at the spread of cereal at her house!!)

The kids all had a blast meeting her children. Hayden and Eli hit it off immediately. In fact Hayden asked when we were coming back.

Thanks Rhonda and Peter for opening your home to the Wilson-Six!!!

Visiting New Hampshire and the Secret Garden

We drove to Walpole, NH yesterday to stay with my Aunt Laura and Uncle Noel. They have a beautiful house up on the side of a mountain. Laura is a fantastic gardener and has tons of beautiful flowers, arbors and paths that surround her house.

The kids thought they were in the Secret Garden. They ran and ran, following the paths and playing Hide n Seek with each other. Even Uncle Noel got in on the Hide n Seek. They were exhausted by dinner time. They all helped make dinner and we ate out on the huge front porch.
This is the view off the porch.
Noel then took us to the Walpole Creamery for ice cream. This place is fabulous. They make all their own ice cream and have been written up in several newspapers.
I think Abigale enjoyed her Chocolate Cone..don't you?

The next morning we had a great breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. The kids had never seen a juicer before and had fun making their own OJ!

Movie Night

We had so much fun going to see Kit Kittredge American Girl Movie. It was well done and my kids enjoyed it. Even My 8 year old boy Hayden. My Aunt Lynne met us at the theatre and treated us all to the movie. It was in an old theatre that they are currently renovating. It is in down town Brattleboro and is very old fashioned.

(This was the bridge you walked over to to the movie Theatre. The scenery here is beautiful!

Fun at the Pool

My children love having their picture taken while jumping in the pool!! They think its hysterical!! Here they are at their Great grandmothers house.

To Be Inspired

I found this cute apron on one of the blogs that I frequently peruse Inspireco. She has her own shop where you can get one of your own. I had emailed the picture to my Mom and told her how cute it was. When I got to Vermont she had a happy for me!! She had made me an apron by looking at the picture!!

Happy Fourth of July!! (Aloha Friday)

I hope all of you are having a great Fourth of July!!

We had a great time going to the parade downtown today. Tonight we will head to the park with our blanket and watch the fireworks with friends and family!

(The Fire Department hangs a huge flag over the street)

( Only in Vermont do the Shriners ride SnowMobiles

instead of the motorcycles or little cars)

Did you see a parade today?
Will you see fireworks tonight?
